No Duck drama this time

PULLMAN – There was no controversial finish. No private chatter among refs that would ultimately dictate the outcome. And, most notably, no letdown.

Washington State left little doubt this time – and settled a score in the process.

Almost a calendar year after falling to Oregon at home in disputable fashion on a late technical – a loss that’s painfully lingered for WSU – the Cougars didn’t leave Saturday night’s 77-63 win against the Ducks at Beasley Coliseum to dramatics

As far as WSU is concerned, Oregon paid its karmic debt.

“Anytime you lose like we did last year it feels great to come back with a win,” said junior Marcus Capers, who labeled the loss a fluke.
